The 510RBA-CAAG programmable oscillator is one such oscillator, and its working principle and application field is outlined in this paper.
The 510RBA-CAAG is an integrated circuit (IC) designed to allow full control of the RF output frequency, amplitude, and phase. It is capable of providing very precise frequency tuning, ranging from 0.1MHz to 25kHz. The architecture of the 510RBA-CAAG consists of two main sections: a frequency synthesizer and a phase-locked loop (PLL). The frequency synthesizer provides the desired frequency which is then adjusted with the PLL to obtain the exact frequency needed.
The frequency synthesizer works by generating a clock signal at a known frequency.
