With an open circuit between the pins, no external frequency is input and the processor will operate at its natural frequency. By closing the between the pins, however, an external signal is introduced, and the processor of the 513SCB000210BAGR will operate at the selected frequency with a corresponding duty cycle.The 513SCB000210BAGR also comes with a programmable register allowing the user to select different frequency/duty cycles. The chip’s register can be user-programmed using a basic microcontroller.
