Pin Configurable/Selectable Oscillators Oscillators are electronic components used to generate clock signals used by microprocessors and other digital integrated circuits. They can be either stable frequency fixed frequency or can be switched between a range of frequencies to achieve optimum use of the power or speed of an application. Selectable or Pin configurable oscillators are generally preferred over fixed-frequency oscillators in advanced applications due to their flexibility.The 533SC000230DG is a type of Pin Configurable/Selectable Oscillator that provides flexibility for dynamic frequency selection. It is a two-wire, bidirectional part that acts as a serial-to-serial data link. It can switch from one frequency to another when provided with appropriate control signals. The device contains two pins; one for data-in/data-out (DIDO) and the other for control (CRTL).The device is powered by a 4.2V to 3.8V DC voltage range, and the maximum frequency is limited to about 767kHz. The word consists of two data bytes representing the frequency\'s high and low byte, respectively.
