The 5614 is specifically designed for use in low-power switching regulators, DC-DC converters, and low-voltage amplifier applications. The energy generated by 5614 comes from its odd-form toroid core and winding layer, combined with the frequency provided by the users’ power sources. Since the inductors are based on magnetic induction, the level of induced current is determined by the strength of the magnetic field as well as the amount of current passed through the winding layer. The stronger the magnetic field, the higher the inductor’s current rating.
