Working Principle

The 56SP30-01-1-09N is an economical, long life rotary switch that is operated by a rotating control that actuates internally mounted contacts. As the control is turned, the contacts remain stationary and the contacts rotate around them. The flexible rotor is made of phenolic material which acts as an electrical insulation material. The 56SP30-01-1-09N uses a two-position snap action mechanism that has two pre-designated end positions, along with four intermediate positions which are self-locking.
