Float, Level Sensors
Float level sensors are used to measure liquid level in tanks, molds, silos, and other limited-depth tanks and reservoirs. It is an easy-to-use, customizable device that is used to detect how far away an item is from the surface of the liquid. This sensing technology is used in applications such as:
- Monitoring the water levels in an open reservoir tank
- Detecting the level of liquid inside a pressurised vessel
- Detecting the level of liquid in a storage tank
- Determining the height of a covered liquid tank
- Gauging the level of a fuel tank
- Measuring the height of a structure prior to drainage
- Measuring the distance of a solid surface below a liquid surface
Float level sensors often use a buoyancy panel or float, usually made of plastic or stainless steel, which is fixed to an output rod and set into the liquid. The float is composed of two main parts, a body and a rod. The body of the float is filled with air or a gas, making it buoyant enough to rise to a certain level inside the liquid. This weight balance helps to keep the float and rod properly aligned, and prevents the rod from bending or being pushed back into the liquid.
The output rod of the float is connected to a switch or transducer, which then produces an electrical signal. This signal is used to measure the distance between the surface of the liquid and the float. This signal can be used to control valves, pumps, and other equipment based on the level of the liquid. Depending on the type of float level sensor, the output signal may also be digital or analog.
The 59630-3-T-05-F float level sensors are designed for accurate liquid level sensing. It offers two precise and reliable sensing solutions: galvanic and non-galvanic. The galvanic sensing system uses a special type of metal rod that produces an electrical signal when it is immersed in water. This signal is then used to determine the level of the water.. The non-galvanic sensing system uses a non-metallic rod and allows the flow of electricity so that it can be measured and used to determine the level. These sensors are powered using a 12 VDC and have a flow rate of 10 liters per minute.
These float level sensors are designed to be robust and durable. They are constructed with stainless steel, brass, polypropylene, and other corrosion-resistant materials to ensure they will last for many years. The floats themselves are manufactured using high-grade plastic and are designed to ensure accurate liquid level readings over a wide range of temperatures and flows. They are designed to withstand environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, vibration, and pressure changes.
The 59630-3-T-05-F float level sensors are suitable for a broad range of applications, such as industrial, commercial, and residential applications. They can be used to monitor the levels of liquids such as water, oil, sewage, fuel, chemicals, and others. They can even be used for monitoring changes in the liquid’s levels over time. Their reliable and accurate readings make them ideal for a variety of monitoring and control applications.
