60729-1 standard defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is an international standard specifying requirements for the construction, interchangeability, safety, and performance of certain quick-connect/quick-disconnect type connectors, commonly referred to as the “107 Series” connectors. The standard prescribes nine different types of quick-connect/quick-disconnect terminals, designated as type M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M8, M9.

The 107 Series connectors are convenient tools for both commercial and residential applications and have been widely used for decades.
