This includes the dimensions for the contact’s back-shell, and the distances between the contact’s pocket holes and the body’s contact shells. These dimensions are necessary to ensure correct applications.

The 60938-2 standard also requires that quick disconnect terminals have a minimum contact resistance and maximum contact current when tested under standard laboratory conditions. In addition, all quick disconnect terminals must be tested for a range of conditions, including temperature and humidity, and must be designed to withstand high-voltage arcs.
