The connector body also consists of two metal contacts; a boot for strain relief and an ejector. The 6105-B1K is designed to achieve high mating stability with a single engagement. A single-action latch system locks the connector into place, improving the connection after many plugging and unplugging cycles. This design eliminates the need of any adjustment after installation which ensures improved stability and reliability. The connector can accommodate either a single optical fiber or a pair of optical fiber strands.In order to maintain the reliability of this connection, the connectors should be paired with an appropriate length of tight-buffered fiber optic cable with a tensile strength of at least 900N.
