6248N/2 application field and working principle

DC fans are a type of DC refrigeration device. Composed of a brushless DC motor and a fan, it is mainly used to provide sufficient cooling capacity for the cabinet and rack system and rapidly reduce the temperature inside the device. The 6248N/2 series of DC fans is commonly used in the following application fields:

The 6248N/2 series of DC fans has a rotation speed of 1024RPM, is 52.7mm thick, has a DC 12V working voltage range, consumes 7.4W, offers an air displacement of 74.11CFM, and features an IP54 protection rating and a noise level of 54.3dBA. These DC fans can be used in many applications due to their wide operating temperature range of -10°C ~ +70°C. It has an MTBF of 70,000 h at 25°C and is compatible with the UL certification.

The working principle of the 6248N/2 series of DC fans is based on the principle of electromagnetism. It consists of a permanent magnet rotating armature and a stationary armature. When the DC voltage is applied to the stationary armature, the permanent magnet within the rotating armature produces a torque and thereby rotates along with the fan blade. This produces suction and air flow to cool the internal components of the device.
