The 62P22-N6 encoder is primarily used in motion applications where tracking or monitoring of position, velocity, or direction is needed. It’s also used for various types of industrial processing machines and robotic arms. The encoding principle of the 62P22-N6 is based on two circular patterns. The first pattern is known as the “index line” and is located near the center of the encoder. The index line encodes information about the position of the rotating shaft. The second pattern is known as the “quad pattern” and is located closer to the outer edge of the encoder. The quad pattern encodes information about the direction of the rotation. In order to track and monitor motion, the 62P22-N6 encoder receives pulses from the index line and the quad pattern.
