66429-466LF connectors feature insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology with contacts that have insulation displacement contact tips. The contacts automatically pierce insulation when properly mated with other connectors in the same series. This provides a reliable electrical connection between two conducting elements due to the contact tips being electrically connected with the two conductors. The contacts are made of highly conductive and corrosion-resistant materials which guarantee a low contact resistance for longer life.
