Crimping is a proven production technique for connecting wires, cables, and other components used in a variety of electrical and mechanical applications. Crimpers

Applicators usually consist of a cylinder, plunger, and spring. When the user presses the plunger, the spring applies pressure to the workpiece in order to create the connection. These tools are often used in conjunction with a solder station to ensure a reliable connection and minimize the risk of damage to the components.

Presses

Presses are the third type of crimping tool used for connector assembly. These tools use a combination of pressure and heat to create a strong electrical and mechanical connection. Presses are often used in applications where the component to be crimped is too large to be crimped with a manual tool or is too delicate for a manual tool.

Presses are usually fitted with a specific die head for the desired connection. The head is placed on the workpiece and the press is activated to apply pressure and heat to the component. The press then holds the component in place until it has cooled and the connection has been formed.
