Working Principle of the 687925-2

The working principle of the 687925-2 is simple and effective. The crimper is powered by a pneumatic device which pulls the handle down, compressing the die around the crimp pin or contact. As the die is forced down, the sides of the die eventually spread open, forcing the pin or contact down onto the insulation of the wire. The die then continues to press against the wire until the insulation is securely pressed into the connector.

As soon as the die has been closed, the crimper automatically retracts to its open position. The 687925-2 hasbeen designed for use with multiple die sets, permitting a range of crimping applications; it can also be used for both crimping and wire wrapping.
