Aluminum–polymer capacitors are rapidly becoming the capacitor technology of choice for many applications. One key capacitor in this family is the 6SEP150M. This capacitor offers superior performance at a competitive cost.
The 6SEP150M is a polymer aluminum capacitor with a nominal capacitance of 150 μF and a rated voltage of 6.3 V. It has a 10% released voltage of 5.7 V and an effective lifespan of 1,000 hours under 85°C. The capacitor\'s case is flame retardant UL 94-V0 rated, allowing for reliable operation in high temperature, high power electronics. The case size is 22.3×22.3×7 mm, with a 2-pin chassis mount design.
The 6SEP150M is designed for general purpose applications, including motor and power supply controls, air conditioning systems, frequency converters and power supply designs. Its low ESR ensures a low switching time and a highly efficient power supply. Its compact size and low profile make the capacitor ideal for space-constrained areas.
Aluminum–polymer capacitors are designed utilizing a patented, multilayer construction featuring a power aluminum foil, an electrolytic polymer, and conductive polymer layers. This combination of materials creates a capacitor with a low ESR and a high capacitance-to-volume ratio. These zero-spacing capacitors are not negatively affected by temperature, shock, vibration, or humidity. They are also non-magnetic and completely non-combustible.
The 6SEP150M features a low ESR of 45 mΩ at 100 kHz, allowing for high ripple current capability. This makes the capacitor well suited for power supply applications and for high-frequency electrolytic capacitor replacement. In addition, the capacitor boasts high capacitance stability, due to its proprietary electrolytic polymer and construction design.
The 6SEP150M is an ideal choice for many applications requiring a long-term, low-maintenance solution.
