The device itself is constructed from two pieces – a polymerized Tantalum material sandwiched between metalized electrodes. The Tantalum-Polymer layer is characterized by its excellent energy storage and dissipation properties, while the electrodes provide electrical conduction paths to the terminals at either end.The 6TPC330MA’s working principle is relatively straightforward. When an electrical potential is applied to the device, it acts as an accumulator, gathering and storing electrons due to the capacitance of the Tantalum-Polymer layer. As the charge is stored, an opposing electric field is generated which prevents any further stored charge from crossing or passing through the electrodes.
