7-22713-6, also known as the OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), can be used to test the optical fiber links for loss of transmission performance of the optical fiber cable.OTDR is a type of optical fiber test equipment that can measure the characteristics of optical fiber link based on the amount of optical loss, reflectance, transmission damping, etc., and display them as a graph. The graph is called “OTDR Trace”. Statistical data such as fiber length, loss, reflectance, etc. can be obtained from the trace. Generally used for the construction of optical networks and for fault diagnosis and maintenance of optical cables.The application fields of 7-22713-6 are mainly in the maintenance of FTTx (optical fiber-to-the-home) networks, as well as in the maintenance and measurement of data centers and long-distance digital transmission links.The working principle of 7-22713-6 is based on the principle of optical time domain reflectometer. OTDR injection system is made up of injection source and injection port. Injection source has optical pulse generator and fiber power. The pulse generator generates electrical pulse which can be transmitted over the optical path which is connected to a receiving end.The optical pulse is transmitted through the optical fiber, and when it encounters an event such as a fault on the fiber line, the energy of the optical pulse which is reflected is calculated to determine the parameters of the fiber. By measuring the time of flight for the optical reflection and the attenuation of light along the fiber, the characteristics of the optical fiber are determined and stored in the OTDR\'s trace file.The optical power from the OTDR will be decreased as it passes through the fiber, which is why OTDR also needs to measure the power loss along the fiber. According to the power loss of the fiber, the OTDR can calculate the original power of the pulse and the attenuation coefficient of the fiber at each reflection point. It can also provide quantitative data such as cable length and total fiber loss.In short, 7-22713-6\'s application field is mainly used in optical fiber-to-the-home and data centers maintenance and measurement, and its working principle is relying on the principle of optical time domain reflectometer. It can measure the parameters of the fiber line and calculate the cable length and total fiber loss according to the optical power loss.
