Resistor Networks, ArraysThe 741X043103JP is a resistor network used to split or scale signals in filter applications. It is comprised of four individual resistors, namely R1, R2, R3, and R4, connected in series between the input (INP) and the output (OUT) pins. The resistors can be trimmed to provide a total resistance of up to 100 kΩ. The 741X043103JP is divided into two symmetrical halves. Each half consists of two resistors in series, R1 and R2 or R3 and R4 respectively. The two series resistor halves are connected in parallel to form a single resistor network. The input signal is applied to the INP terminal, which is the vertex of the series resistors. The output signal is extracted from OUT, which is the junction point of R1 and R2 or R3 and R4. In filter applications, resistor networks like the 741X043103JP are used to split or scale signal levels. For example, the signal may be split into two or more equal parts by having the input (INP) pin connected to the vertices of the two series halves. In this configuration, the output (OUT) pins are connected together and replace the resistor normally connected across the output (OUT) pins. The 741X043103JP can also be used as an attenuator. In low-pass filters, the input signal is divided into two or more equal parts by connecting the input (INP) pin to the vertices of the two series halves and connecting the output (OUT) pins together. The remainder of the low-pass filter can then be completed by the addition of appropriate inductors.The 741X043103JP resistor network is suitable for applications requiring very low dissipation and high accuracy. The device is available in different resistance values such as 10 kΩ, 20 kΩ, 30 kΩ, 40 kΩ, 50 kΩ, 60 kΩ, 80 kΩ, and 100 kΩ.
