74AHC240BQ,115 is a logic-buffers, drivers, receivers, and transceivers, which provides a complete set of logic functions that allow data paths to be formed from data inputs and from outputs from memory, logic, and microprocessors, with low power consumption. This chipset operates either from a 5V or 3.3V single supply and is an ideal solution for use in mixed voltage designs.

The internal design of 74AHC240BQ,115 includes two separate sections of 10-bit blocks, one for output stages, and one for input stages. These chips use a combination of a TTL compatible buffer and CMOS latches to enable higher driving capability and improved data integrity between ports. The output stage allows full voltage and current driving capability, plus a low output impedance of 4.7 ohms on the output buffers.

It has the capability to support half-duplex and full-duplex operations. It will allow data to be transferred between two logic ports, with one master and one slave device, or as a single as a serial input to a single device.
