It is designed to extend logic range and reduce loading with TTL and JEDEC approved signal levels, and is fully compatible with TTL levels operating at most of the common logic levels. The 74AHC244D,112 is primarily used in driving data and address buses, and can also be used as output ports or signal lines. It is also suitable for multiplexers/demultiplexers and other applications requiring higher speed and wider range of power level shifting.Application FieldThe 74AHC244D,112 is suitable for a variety of applications, such as multiplexers/demultiplexers, data and address buses, output ports and signal lines. It consists of two main parts - the octal transceiver and the three-state outputs. The octal transceiver is used to establish the connection between the data lines (inputs) and the output lines (outputs). The octal driver allows the reception and transmission of logic signals, and through the help of the three-state outputs, data can be outputted or received depending on the particular application.When the “output enable” input (OE) is high, the output lines are disabled and the input lines become active. During this time, data enters the chip via the inputs, is processed through the octal transceiver, and is outputted as logic signals.
