Logic - Translators, Level Shifters are one of the most important components of any integrated circuit. The 74FCT164245TPAG8 is one such component, used to transmit data signals or represents digital logic level signals. It consists of two type translating elements: 4-bit send/receiver and a 2-bit translator. The 4-bit send/receiver translate the logic levels depending on the input and output pins. It supports the both asynchronous and synchronous mode. When operating in asynchronous mode, the input signal is generated by a clock and the output is generated after the input signal remains active for a duration equivalent to the propagation delay of the translator. In synchronous mode, the input signal is transmitted directly to the output after a predetermined path is defined. The 2-bit translator allows two different logic families to be interfaced. It uses two voltage levels for representing binary ‘1’ and ‘0’ in the same language. The first level represents the low input level, while the second level represents the high input level.
