<p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI is a Clock/Timing device that falls into the family of Clock Buffers, Drivers. The device provides a cost-effective solution for synchronous clock distribution and buffering. The device can be used in designs where clocking performance needs to be tailored to the specific application needs.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI features a Multi-Mode Input (MMI) with Programmable Edge Detection. The MMI has eight programmable locations that can detect either rising or falling edge of the input signal. Edge detection of the input signal allows designers to take advantage of Partial-Power-Down mode and to reduce the clock jitter.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI has five fully-programmable outputs that are configured in programmable output power-down mode by the MMI. The outputs can be configured to low- or high-power levels, depending on the application requirements. The output power-down mode allows designers to reduce power consumption while still maintaining signal integrity.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI features an I/O Gate that can be used to control the output enable/disable operation. The I/O Gate is also used to produce single-output operation during system power-down.</p><p>The output pulse width of the 74FCT807BTPYGI is programmable from 1 to 32 clocks per cycle. The output pulse width can be adjusted to ensure the most efficient clocking scheme without compromising system performance.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI has a high-performance differential input on each of the programmable outputs. This allows for easy and accurate signal measurement and provides enhanced signal integrity. The input respectably mates to LVTTL, LVCMOS and differential input levels, as well as standard HSTL and PCI signals.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI features a power-saving delay circuit that is efficient in both energy and space. This circuit reduces the current consumption in idle states and can be programmed to provide either a fixed or a variable delay.</p><p>The 74FCT807BTPYGI supports clock speeds up to 200MHz and is available in both SMD- and PCB-compatible packages.
