74HC165D is a logic device that belongs to the Shift Registers family. This signal is stored in the internal 8 Flip-Flop stages and can be read out of the latch via the Parallel Outputs. The storage remains boosted until the prior low-level signal appears on the Data Input pin.
The 74HC165D device has a few control pins. These include the Load/Shift, Parallel/Serial Mode, and Clock Enable/Disable pins. The Load/Shift pin determines whether the data is loaded into the 74HC165D (by sending a high-level signal) or shifted serially from the Data Input pin (by sending a low-level signal).
