The 74HC238D-Q100J is a member of the high-speed CMOS logic family and is an 18-bit 3-to-8 line decoder/demultiplexe with active LOW outputs. It is a versatile logic function which can be used as address decoders, data selectors, encoders, multiplexers and any logic application that requires decoding or de-multiplexing from three input lines. It has active LOW outputs, the output enable function and the latch function.
The 74HC238D-Q100J\'s application field is widely used for input data selection, address generation, selection of control signals and decoding of local resistance. The latch enable (LE) input is used to enable the latch function, when LE is high, the output is latched, when LE is low, the output is not latched, when LE is high, the logic inputs can be disabled. The logic outputs may not remain stable until LE is enabled.
