The 74LCX241MSa is a medium–speed, low power logic buffer/line driver which is constructed using advanced CMOS technology. It is designed for asynchronous 2-way communications between data buses and has two selectable power supply voltage ranges, LVTTL (GTL), and LS TTL levels, thus allowing the use of either the 5V supplies available in systems using LSTTL logic, or the 3.3V supplies of those using LVTTL logic.

The 74LCX241MSa is a four–channel multiplexer/demultiplexer with two selectable power supply voltage ranges, allowing use of either the 5V supplies available in systems using LSTTL logic or the 3.3V supplies applicable in systems using LVTTL logic.

The multiplexer/demultiplexer features independent enable inputs that allow the user to selectively enable the output buffer. The outputs of the multiplexer/demultiplexer are in high impedance state when the enable is disabled. This is useful in applications where data is shared between two devices and the user can selectively enable either one of the devices.
