The 74LVTH373SJ is a high-performance, low power and low voltage component integrated circuit latch, created primarily for applications where a higher speed of operation is required. The basic architecture consists of a register composed of two independent 3-bit latches. The logic input of the latch consists of two complementary active-low data inputs and two active-high ENABLE inputs. It also features two active-high asynchronous CLEAR inputs, one active-high INVERT output and one active-high output.

The functionality of the 74LVTH373SJ is based around the two independent 3-bit registers that allow for efficient storage and retrieval of data. The first three input pins are DATA IN A, DATA IN B and ENABLE A, while the second set of three input pins are DATA IN C, DATA IN D and ENABLE B. The data inputs are latched on the rising clock edge of the ENABLE pin. The outputs are determined by the data inputs at the rising edge of the ENABLE pin. The INVERT output is driven high when any of the four data inputs are HIGH.

The CLEAR pins are used in conjunction with the data inputs to erase the existing state of the latches when a HIGH signal is applied. When both CLEAR pins are asserted the outputs of the latch will go LOW allowing it to be reset. The 74LVTH373SJ is rated for operation from a maximum of 3.3V, allowing for efficient implementation of designs for applications that require a lower voltage supply.
