The 78098-002LF is a 2-pin header suitable for use in high-performance computing applications, as it offers excellent electrical characteristics and reliable performance. It is intended for applications where short-duration high-power current flows through the pins. Its contact-mated pin system produces a hermetically sealed connection that prevents oxidation, vibration, corrosion and contamination.

The 78098-002LF is a 2-pin header with a face profile of .090″ and a 10.3 mm row spacing. The pins are constructed from a premium aluminum alloy for superior electrical performance. This alloy provides superior mechanical strength and a greater crimping capacity than brass or steel with a low electrical resistance. It is black zinc-plated to provide additional protection against corrosion.

The 78098-002LF is designed to be used in high-performance computing applications, where robustness and reliability are of primary importance. To ensure that the connectors are able to withstand extreme environments, including shock, vibration, thermal and pressure cycling, each pin is encased in a thermoplastic housing.
