As a result, they are a much more cost-effective lighting solution, but lack the color rendering of incandescents. Furthermore, they require a special type of power source, often a transformer, in order to function correctly. Neon lights come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors, making them an ideal choice for projects in need of unique lighting options. Common uses of neon lights include signage and advertising, installations, automotive, and illuminated boxes. They are also popular in specialty projects, such as holidays lights and fun decorations. In conclusion, incandescents and neon lamps are both excellent choices for lighting a multitude of applications but customer needs must be determined in order to correctly select the most efficient option.
