The 87987-8 series of rectangular connectors feature two rows of gold-plated sockets on a 0.8mm pitch, panel-mounted female socket that allows a very reliable connection. The 87987-8 sockets can accommodate board-to-board connection while being able to handle a wide range of wiring harness applications. It provides superior flexibility in terms of cable selection and management, and takes up less board space than traditional pin-type connectors. Additionally, the 87987-8 is a one-piece design that attaches to the board at a single point, eliminating multiple connectors and space-consuming components.
The 87987-8 female sockets have been engineered for use in extreme temperatures, moisture, and vibration environments, making it ideal for demanding applications in the automotive, industrial, medical, and consumer electronics markets.
One of the most important features of the 87987-8 series is its robust mechanical design. The insert is made of high-temperature plastic that won\'t shrink or expand with heat and cold.
