8860-0020-300-80 is an economical and versatile material used for EMI/RFI shielding and absorbing applications. This open cell foam is made from a 2.6 lb. urethane foam impregnated with metal-coated fibers. The open-celled foam structure allows for increased air circulation, providing better capacity for thermal insulation. This material is widely used in antenna radiation patterns, low frequency antenna designs, and RFI/EMI shielding applications.
When used as an EMI/RFI shield, this material absorbs and dissipates electromagnetic radiation, thus significantly reducing incoming and outgoing radiation.
