The ‘dynamic lock entry’ allows for several pins to be inserted simultaneously into the shell, with each identified pin being reliably secured to the PPS moulding via integral ‘U’ frames. This ‘lock entry’ principle gives the electrical circuit the potential to be securely connected without the need for any additional locking mechanisms or accessories.

Once the pins are inserted and pushed into the grooves of the moulding in the shell, the retention is activated by means of a distinct ‘click’. This serves to acknowledge to the user that the connection has now been secured and is ready to begin its job. The 8898 series is also highly configurable, as it can be used with its associated pin and/or socket terminals, and its compatible accessories.

Moreover, the 8898-0-15-01-32-14-04-0 also features active contact pressure between the main pin component and the contact surface. This active contact pressure helps to achieve consistent contact resistance values and improving the pull out resistance when connected.
