The 91718CMLFT is a highly advanced clock generator, phase-locked loop, frequency synthesizer and clock management IC from IDT. It’s a true system-on-chip that provides an unequaled combination of features that are needed for design of system and applications requiring advanced performance and flexibility.
The IC of the 91718CMLFT integrates three independent digital PLLs, a spread-spectrum generator, and clock fanout with active drive capability. Additionally, it implements a 32-bit Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) Clock Divider that can be used to divide the clock frequency to generate low frequency clocks which can be used throughout a system. It also includes a patented digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) circuitry with fractional-N technology and digital noise-avoidance, which ensures clean and accurate output frequencies.
The 91718CMLFT is highly versatile, as it supports wide range of input frequency, output frequency and jitter requirements. The device is designed to operate with very low jitter, with cycle-to-cycle jitter and rms jitter numbers below 150 femtoseconds and 100 femtoseconds respectively. With wide input frequency range of 50MHz to 2.6GHz, it can generate output frequency up to 2.6GHz. Additionally, the phase noise of the device is less than -150dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, providing low transmission noise and excellent jitter performance.
The 91718CMLFT also provides complete control for clock management and efficient routing within a system. The device supports 4 banks of selectable output clock buffers, allowing for a flexible clock output distribution. It also features output-defined clocks, which provide a variety of clo
