The ends of the insulated wires must be inserted into the corresponding apertures of the pins in order to provide electrical connections between the two boards. The mating headers and pins are then connected, compressing the wires between them, which creates a snug fit. This ensures a secure connection between the boards.

Designed for high-temperature applications, these connectors are rated up to temperatures of 150°C.
