Application Field

The 929700-01-04-RK male pin surface mount header is a low profile rectangular connector, designed for applications requiring compact, high density pin headers. This connector provides reliability and a low cost solution to the mounting of PC boards, PCMCIA cards, Memory Cards, and Flat Displays Devices. This connector is also used in data, audio, and video equipment for stackability applications when an ultra low profile connector is required.

Working Principle

The 929700-01-04-RK male pin surface mount header is designed with two rows of four pins. Each pin is has a tin-plated copper contact with a pitch of 0.1” which accommodates a 0.031” diameter contact. The pin is also available in lead-free tin/lead (ROHS compliant). The contacts are locked together by means of a double locking feature which secures them in the mating condition and prevents their premature release. The pin header is designed to fit into a 0.2” hole with a depth of 0.3”. It can also be mounted on a 0.1” circuit board with a 0.2” gap. The connector has a normal voltage rating of 300VAC/DC. To ensure reliable electrical connections, 929700-01-04-RK male pin headers are available with insulation sleeves for complete insulation. The insulation sleeves protect the electrical connections from dust and dirt which could cause damage or interruption of current.
