The 93LC66AT/ST is a low-cost, low-power 16-bit Serial EEPROM memory device, which offers superior read/write performance and superior data retention. This device is suitable for applications that require low power and extended storage time with minimal cost.

The 93LC66AT/ST is a 5-pin 1-wire serial EEPROM, which is based on the Atmel AT93C66 architecture, which provides a flexibility for interoperability with a range of microcontrollers, fabric-based systems and other 1-wire serial EEPROMs. It is also compatible with a wide range of intermediate/low-power microprocessors, including Atmel ATtiny86, ATxmega256, AT89C51 microcontrollers, STM32F103 Cortex-M3 microcontroller and Atmel AT93Cxx EEPROMs. The device can operate in either the 2- wire or 1-wire Serial Bus mode, providing communication in a choice of interfaces, while offering an efficient, low-power option.

The 93LC66AT/ST is pin-compatible with its predecessor, the 93LC66A and share the same physical characteristics. The device can store up to 32K bits of information using 8-bit, 16- bit and 32-bit words. It has separate Serial Clock (SCL) pins for both the CS and Clock domains, allowing it to reply to commands from both the CS and Clock domains simultaneously. The 93LC66AT/ST is optimized for low power consumption, with current consumption just 10µA. It has a unique POR (power on reset) signal which is integrated with the chip- select line, allowing the device to automatically reset when power is removed or reset.

The 93LC66AT/ST can be used in a wide range of applications, including automotive, industrial, medical, computing and embedded systems. In automotive applications, it is used to store diagnostic data and radio codes. In industrial applications, it can be used for factory automation and machine control, as well as to store industrial sensor data. In medical applications, it can be used to store patient data and medical records. In computing applications, the device is used to store configuration information and settings for portable devices.
