Clock/Timing - Application Specific
The 9DB433AGLF is an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designed specifically for a variety of clock and timing-related applications. The device is designed to provide an integrated and comprehensive solution for a wide range of clock and timing related applications.
The 9DB433AGLF has an on-chip digital temperature sensor, temperature compensation circuitry and an on-chip power-on reset circuit. This device provides precise control over supply voltage, frequency, and phase synchronization. It also provides precise control over the pulse width and pulse width modulation of all the outputs. Furthermore, the device integrates a set of programmable digital filters, allowing further programmability of different ratios of clock outputs.
The 9DB433AGLF is a comprehensive clock module consisting of three modules: a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a processor to control the VCO, and an output logic circuit for controlling the four output signals. The chip is powered by a 3.3V power source and can be clocked up to about 400 MHz. It has a low power consumption of less than 25 mW.
The VCO can be programmed to generate an output frequency anywhere from 90 kHz to 800 MHz by tuning the resistor, capacitors and inductors in the feedback loop. Additionally, the duty cycle, frequency and pulse width modulation can be programmed by adjusting the duty cycle and duty cycle modulation (DCM) register. The VCO can also be used as a phase-locked loop (PLL).
The processor module consists of a programmable control logic, an 8-bit internal counter and an 8-bit intermediate latch that are responsible for controlling the frequency and duty cycle of each output clock. The processor can generate a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal of up to 256Hz and also an independent PWM control signal.
The output logic module is responsible for driving the four outputs and contains clock drivers, duty cycle and PWM control logic and output level control. The output logic can generate four fully-programmable clock outputs with pulse-width modulation and duty cycle control and fine-tune the duty-cycle and pulse-width of clock outputs. In addition, the device provides a logic level output which can be used for synchronization and control.
The 9DB433AGLF is an integrated solution for applications requiring precise control over clock and timing related tasks. It provides an ideal solution for a variety of different types of clock and timing related applications such as high-speed processors and embedded systems, automotive and industrial applications, clock and timing applications, digital signal processing and test and measurement applications.
