1. Describe

The A2235-H is an antenna module with a SiRF Star IV ROM based chip and on-board patch antenna. It is a low-cost version of the A2035-H with a smaller size and a stacked antenna architecture. An RF switch was implemented (but not on engineering samples) to support external active antennas for improved performance when needed. To make migration easier for existing customers using the A2035-H, we decided to keep the same pinout as the A2035-H. The extra pins to support external antennas do not affect this drop-in replacement functionality. User applications require special PCB design due to the RF feed point below the module. The receiver section of the A2235-H is identical to the A2200-A, with the latest CSR Premier ROM 9333 and I2C enabled host port, adding the host port I2C_CLK (pin 14) for this new feature. The A2235-H is a module designed for 3.3V environment.
