The device supports both Analog Dimming & PWM Dimming, with a 5-bit dimming register offering 32 steps of output current control (4 mA to 20 mA). It features blanking time selection of 0, 5, 10 and 15 us, allowing reliable switching of the LEDs.

The A6276ELW includes short circuit, over temperature and over voltage protections, as well as other features necessary for efficient operation and reliable control. These features let the user drive several LEDs in parallel with a greater degree of control and flexibility. This controller/driver will ensure energy savings and is suitable for use in all kinds of LED applications.

Working Principle: The A6276ELW drives the LED by taking an input voltage and controlling the LED current with a proprietary pulse width modulated (PWM) control method. The PWM control circuit comprises an inner current loop that monitors the output current against the user-defined settings. This current sense loop controls switching frequency and output on-off times as per the settings applied by the user. These outputs, consisting of gate drive signals, are applied to the respective MOSFETS connected in a bridge arrangement to drive the LED.

The A6276ELW includes current sensing feedback and short circuit protection. The device is capable of working with inputs up to 36 V, allowing it to be used with an automotive battery to power an LED or LEDs. This LED driver can power up to 10 LED\'s in parallel, depending on application requirements. The PWM signal is provided to the internal comparator which is then used to switch the output current.
