A821-18503 is a dualpol dualbma wideband aluminum alloy die-casting VHF-UHF linear polarization omnidirectional antenna. Working Principle
A821-18503 operates linearly and work in a frequency range of 30 MHz to 960 MHz with linear polarized field. When an RF signal is connected to the antenna, the RF signal will be transformed to an electric field. This electric field will excite the antenna’s metal conductor and create a magnetic field which is also called an elecro-magnet, producing an electromagnetic wave. This electromagnetic wave then propagates in the form of a sine wave and is radiated out into the environment. As the sine wave propagates, it experiences reflections, refractions, diffractions, and other propagation paths due to manmade structures and large objects. As the reflected wave hit receiver antennas, the receiver antenna will re-transforms the electromagnetic wave back into an electric and magnetic field, generating a new RF signal which is demodulated and decoded by the receivers.
