The solution eliminates the need for large transformers, inductors, capacitors, and space-consuming heatsinks.The A8287SLB features a wide adjustable voltage and current ranges and can operate in forced PWM mode, constant frequency PWM mode, constant on time PWM mode, and single cycle skip mode. The operating frequency range is adjustable from 400kHz to 1.2MHz. The chip’s built-in protection features include fast transient response in over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage and reverse voltage conditions. The IC also has two pins to enable current limiting and lower voltage ripple when the input voltage is above 17V, efficient operation over the entire working range, and improved power dissipation.The A8287SLB is ideal for applications such as current limited down-converters, portable medical or consumer device chargers, and battery based/solar powered applications.
