AA103-72LF-EVB RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards are designed as an enablement solution to help customers evaluate and develop either Bluetooth 5.0 or Zigbee 2.4GHz products, and provides them the development/evaluation of the Anaren 103 Series and EM/EMZ3 Series modules. This evaluation board works as an ideal platform to validate the host and Wi-Fi protocol stack integration and to prototype a complete RF application.

Application Field: AA103-72LF-EVB is ideal for Bluetooth 5.0 and Zigbee 2.4GHz product development. The board features the Anaren 103 Series and EM/EMZ3 Series modules, and is capable of providing customers a demonstration platform for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Zigbee protocol stacks to fully evaluate the stack performance. The provided host interface demonstration also allows customers the opportunity to easily prototype their system without hardware or software development.

Working Principle: The AA103-72LF-EVB consists of two major components: the radio module (Anaren 103 Series or EM/EMZ3 Series) and the baseboard. The radio module is an integrated radio frequency (RF) transceiver that contains all essential components required for transmitting and receiving RF signals. The baseboard houses IO connectors, LEDs, Microchip microcontroller and other components required to configure and control the radio module.

Once the module is mounted on the baseboard and the power source is connected, the microcontroller initiates the included demonstration application program. The program reads and writes to the radio module through standard serial communication interfaces, such as SPI, UART, and I2C. Once this is complete, the application program then configures and controls the radio module operation by setting up all necessary settings and parameters. When the radio module is powered up, it is ready to be used for exchange data with other radio modules through the established RF link.

The evaluation board also includes graphical user interface (GUI) application software for Windows operating systems, allowing customers to monitor the status of the board, as well as configure and control operation.
