Working Principle: The ABD202NUG switch works on the principle of mechanical latching that allow its user to lock the maintaining contacts in either on or off state by pushing the button up or down. When the button is pushed up, both of the contact’s states are changed from open to closed, completing the circuit. When the button is released, the contact returns to its original state and the current breaks.

The contact interfaces of the switch are silver-cadmium oxide and are securely fastened to the button’s backplate which houses the switch’s motor. The switch is powered by a single pole double throw transformer with a current rating of 10A at 250 VAC. The switch is prewired and uses 22-26 AWG wire.

The switch has an operating temperature range of between -40°C and +85°C with the casing made of blue polycarbonate. The properties of the enclosure make this switch highly shock and vibration tolerant while assuring significant cost and time efficiencies.
