NTC thermistors, also known as negative temperature coefficient thermistors, are resistors with a temperature-dependent electrical resistance. The resistance of an NTC thermistor decreases as the temperature around it increases; inversely, as temperature falls, resistance also decreases. NTC thermistors are widely used in temperature-sensing applications because of the predictable, linear change in property. Working Principle

The metal oxide layer acts as the resistor and is responsible for the thermistor’s temperature-dependent resistance. The protective coating is used to protect the thermistor from heat, moisture, and dust, ensuring its long-term reliability in a wide variety of applications.
