The AC4490-200A RF Transceiver Module is a high-performance integrated circuit used in wireless communications systems for both data and broadcast applications. In continuous mode, up to five megabits per second of data can be streamed from the base station to the transceiver via the RF interface. In standby mode, up to 30 millisecond wake-up periods can be declared when the transceiver needs to be set to receive data. In receive mode, incoming data is filtered, converted, amplified, and then sent to the base station. In transmit mode, data is converted into an RF signal, amplified, and then transmitted.

The AC4490-200A also has a dual-port VCC interface that allows connection to ground and to the power supply. This allows the transceiver to interface directly with existing ground planes and power supplies, eliminating the need for additional cabling and power sources. The interface is designed to minimize EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference) on the power lines while still providing dependable operation.
