ACPL-H312-560E Application Field and Working Principle

The ACPL-H312-560E is an Isolator – Gate Driver that is widely used in many electrical systems. It is a two-channel, bidirectional, dual-rail H312-560E isolator with a 2.5V-5V compatible voltage range that enables 4x higher data rates than lower level models. The ACPL-H312-560E can be used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications.

This isolator–gate driver is an all in one solution for high-speed, multidirectional data and gate drive applications. It is designed for insulated gate drivers and signal isolators, and is an ideal solution for systems including motor drives, variable frequency drives, HVAC systems, industrial power control, medical equipment, motion control, and IoT systems. It provides reliable gate-driving and signal isolation through its advanced magnetically coupled, zero voltage crossing (ZVC) technology, which minimizes current surges and reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI). Additionally, the ACPL-H312-560E is equipped with internal capacitive and inductive circuitry for protection against high voltage spikes.

The ACPL-H312-560E is able to transmit wide bandwidth signals up to 9GHz, with a wide range of data rates from 25MHz to 1.2GHz. It is also able to provide fast and accurate signal control by responding within 1s to 300ns depending on the input signal type. Furthermore, the ACPL-H312-560E’s LED indicator and enable signals allow for easy system monitoring and configuration.

The ACPL-H312-560E features a direct gate driver control input type, allowing for 7-20V input voltage range with adjustable current limit. It includes a high-speed, 50MHz Schmitt-trigger input, as well as a high output current of 1A peak. The ACPL-H312-560E features a high-voltage isolation of 6kV, and a low data-transfer distortion of 0.3%. This isolator-gate driver also features an over-temperature, over-current, and under-voltage protection threshold, increasing reliability in harsh working environments.
