One type of optoisolator is the ACPL-W454-500E, which has both a transistor and a photovoltaic output. The ACPL-W454-500E is an optoisolator which combines both transistorized and photovoltaic output stages for superior noise-coupling performance. The optical energy is then directed to the photodiode of the transmission side, which converts it back into electrical energy.
