1. Describe
AD-PZSDR2400TDD-EB is affectionately called the first "RF personality card". It is inserted into the ADRV1CRR-FMC carrier card. A 35 mm U.FL coaxial cable connects the card to the ADRV9361-Z7035 to provide access to the transmitter and receiver inputs of the AD9361. Here you can find information about the card, how to use it, the design package surrounding it, and the software that can make it work. The purpose of AD-PZSDR2400TDD-EB is to provide users with an adjustable path to adjust the transmission or reception of AD9361. The choice of TX or RX path is implemented by FPGA and the 200MHz to 2.7GHz SPDT switch HMC546LP2 controlled by the accompanying software. The transmit path is composed of 2.4GHz filter, half-watt driver amplifier ADL5324 and 2-watt power amplifier HMC921. The receiving path consists of the same 2.4GHz filter and low-loss LNA HMC669.
2. Functional Overview
1. The ADL5324 contains a dynamically adjustable bias circuit that allows customization of OIP3 and P1dB performance from 3.3 V to 5 V without the need for external bias resistors.
2. The ADL5324 contains a dynamically adjustable bias circuit that allows customization of OIP3 and P1dB performance from 3.3 V to 5 V without the need for external bias resistors.
3. Multifunctional, high dynamic range GaAs MMIC low noise amplifier, integrated low loss LNA bypass mode on the IC.
4. The amplifier is very suitable for receivers and LNA modules operating between 1.7 to 2.2 GHz and provides 1.4 dB noise figure, 17 dB gain and +29 dBm IP3 through a single power supply of +5V @ 86mA.
5. Fail-safe SPDT switches in leadless DFN surface mount plastic packages are used for transmit-receive and LNA protection applications that require extremely low distortion and high power handling capabilities of up to 10 watts.
