AD1582ART-REEL7 is a positive voltage reference, a core module of PMIC - Voltage Reference. It is a two-terminal junction device, which offers a precisely regulated output voltage independent of changes in both supply voltage and temperature. This device is made up of an assembly of circuits such as temperature compensation circuit, band gap reference circuit, several current levels, etc..The working principle of the AD1582ART-REEL7 voltage reference is based on the combination of precision, chip-level current sources, temperature compensation, a band gap reference, and a temperature sensing element. The voltage reference functionality of the device is accomplished by the precision band gap reference, which is maintained by a series of chip-level current sources, the temperature compensation circuitry and a temperature sensing element.The temperature compensation circuit ensures that the output voltage of the voltage reference remains constant over a predetermined temperature range. This temperature range can be adjusted accordingly using the external temperature compensation circuit. This temperature compensation circuit also acts as an overvoltage protection circuitry and limits the output voltage of the device when the temperature rises above the specified level.The AD1582ART-REEL7 voltage reference can be used in number of applications such as digital-to-analog converters (D-A), switched capacitor filters, active filters, and ADCs. It is also suitable for low-voltage, low-power sequencing and clock distributed applications, where a highly accurate and stable reference voltage is needed.
