The AD5314BRMZ is a monolithic, high-performance, voltage output, 14-Bit Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) that operates from a single 3.3 V supply and contains a precision, low power, BiCMOS Wien bridge oscillator. It offers a precision of 2.2 μV/°C and a low power consumption of 420 μA typical at 25°C, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring a low cost and high precision digital to analog signal conversion. The AD5314BRMZ also offers excellent stability over temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C and wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The AD5314BRMZ operates in three modes: Serial, Parallel, and Serial/Parallel. In serial mode, the 14-bit digital words are serially clocked into the device with 16 clock pulses. In parallel mode, the 14-bit digital words are parallelly presented to the device with two 7-bit encoded words. In serial/parallel mode, the device is operated in both serial and parallel modes.

The AD5314BRMZ also has gain and offset correction pins to provide a high degree of accurate conversion. Gain and Offset Error Correction are provided by using the Offset correction pin and the Gain pin. The Offset correction pin provides a direct connection to zero output offset, and the Gain pin provides a connection for the fine gain trimming that is required in many applications.

The AD5314BRMZ has an on-board reference voltage source that allows the user to select the output reference voltage, either +2.5V or -2.5V.
