The AD5315BRM-REEL7 is a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) data acquisition device which is widely used in a variety of applications due to its versatility and robust performance. It is built using an advanced and high-precision resistor network and uses current-output technology to generate 16-bit digital pulses with a 1LSB resolution. It features differential inputs, 4-wire serial SPI compatible interface and a serial shift register for configurations up to 16-bit. It is compatible with operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, and supports voltage supply ranges from 4.5V to 5.5V.The working principle of the AD5315BRM-REEL7 is based on current output technology. When a control command is provided, the device will convert input digital data into a current output. This current output is then amplified or attenuated in order to generate an output voltage. The four differential inputs are then configured to select the corresponding output and can then output the 16-bit values.The AD5315BRM-REEL7 provides an output range of either 0 to 5.75V or 0 to 10V Full Scale and offers a fast settling time of less than 0.1µs. It also boasts of superb accuracy with a typical INL of ±3LSB and a +/- IDD current of 10 µA.The device further utilizes an internal voltage reference voltage of 2.5V to ensure stable performance and reduced noise. It is also constructed with an advanced 4-wire serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) compatible register structure and provides support for 16-bit resolution. Moreover, the device comes with a latch output enable with an active-low enable that can be used to control the latch enable output. The AD5315BRM-REEL7 offers low power consumption of 8 mA, a low logic high of 1V, and a low logic low of 0.4V for maximum compatibility.
